Long before coming to grace the Earth with their benign presence, many angels existed in their full cosmic glory in the higher dimensional realm located in the area of space we look towards when marvelling at the star cluster Pleiades – the 7 sisters.

Many still reside there as it is one of their homes and one of the few places they can actually be born into existence. From this location they are living extensions of cosmic mind and still have full cognizance of the unity of their heartbeat and the heartbeat of the absolute. Born into awareness, they soak in the energy of the universe until they are drawn to a star system that needs their unique healing talents, patience and virtue.

For those angels who have come to Earth, even remaining in the astral realms constituted by the planet’s aura and the projections of her children is an arduous journey which calls for relentless self-sacrifice. Following humanity’s progress since its inception, they are our immediate spiritual caretakers. Often they influence events to have a tendency to work out better than they might have otherwise. From avoiding accidents, to helping you find a parking spot in a busy city, they are very involved in the intimate day to day occurrences of life.

Some have even taken it upon themselves to enter into human bodies so as to have a more hands-on approach to human development. Many of our master teachers were angels incarnate. After going through the densification process to enter this sphere, even angels can become forgetful of who they truly are. Often it takes another angel who has remembered their true self to help awaken another. Much lucidity is needed for this extensive downloading of information.

There are also some beings among you who used to be of high spiritual vibrations in the celestial arenas but who are now using their Earthly power in a malevolent way. These fallen angels could rise again if only they would recover their connection to the universal pulse. Mistaking themselves as separate and beyond restriction, they have a blind spot in their reckoning that will ultimately lead to their demise. The good news is that life gives many opportunities for all of us to get it right.

Whisper to yourself “I am Pleiadian,” and see how it feels. You have been in Atlantis, Egypt, Greece, Rome, North America, and every major civilisation. Some of you have been benevolent and some have run amok.

Something Rotten In The State Of Denmark?

Yes, It’s Step One Of The Attack On Christiania!

Copenhagen is burning. It’s filled our screens for the past week. BUT NOBODY’S EXPLAINED WHAT THE HELL IT’S ALL ABOUT, RIGHT?!

It may have cooled down by the time you read this but, for 5 days at least, the downtown area of the Danish capital looked like a war zone. Over 700 people arrested so far, many of them younger than 18. It still is or has been a most violent confrontation between supporters of Ungdomshuset (the Youth House) - a Danish squat that has been at the heart of the Danish youth subculture since 1980 - and the police who have just evicted the squatters.

Such was the ferocity over the weekend that several parts of Copenhagen were rioting simultaneously. From Nørrebro, where Ungdomshuset is situated, to Christianshavn, where the free town of Christiania is, sleepy Copenhagen was transformed into something reminiscent of Belfast in the bad old days. International riot supporters from Sweden, Germany and Holland arrived by their hundreds and Danish police had to borrow vehicles from neighbouring Sweden to cope with the ever-increasing numbers of arrests. Police officers and many protesters have been wounded, members of the press have been beaten up, and cars and houses set on fire. And everybody knew the conflict was coming.

The squatters, who have resided in Ungdomshuset for 25 years, follow a Danish squatting tradition. In the 1970s and at the start of the 80s, when Ungdomshuset came into existence, the BZ-movement was active. The BZ-squatters were predominantly peaceful and enjoyed a lot of support from the locals. Their greatest victory was the standoff with the police at a squat called Alotria, where the squatters famously dug an underground tunnel out of the house. When the police finally stormed the premises, the youths had melted away through the underground tunnel. The authorities didn’t like that.

How things have changed. Back then, Denmark was going through a rough spell with unemployment and the youths had every reason to take a "no future" stance. Political tension was in the air, recurring anti-nuclear demonstrations and massive disarmament rallies created a feeling of togetherness on the political left, and the radical youth was merely the extreme part of this togetherness.

But today Copenhagen is one of Europe's most affluent cities, a place focusing on its commercial success and materialism, which creates a strong tendency to political apathy - much like in Britain. From being a social democratic stronghold, Demark is today libertarian to a large degree. The material middle-classes have little understanding for young wild bloods, and maybe this in part explains the protesters' increasingly aggressive and confrontational stance.

It's by no means the first time the police and the "autonome" (the autonomous), as the protest movement is known today, have clashed. Back in December 2006 when it was announced that the Christian organisation that actually owns Ungdomshuset had the right to evict the squatters, they clashed with the police and more than 200 were arrested.

Since then on it's been a waiting game. Everybody knew that sooner or later the police would strike and the squatters were making plans to defend themselves. When the police did strike, in the early hours of Thursday, by air lifting special units onto the roof of the house, the squatters were taken by surprise. But their intentions to not give in without a fight were clear - the place was littered with barbed wire, Molotov cocktails and stones. Hence, when evicted, the fight was taken to the streets where it has been ongoing for days now.

What makes the whole thing even more ridiculous is that the squatters were offered an old school nearby as a replacement for Ungdomshuset. This offer was refused on the grounds that it’s the symbolic value of the original house that matters. It does, however, look like the protesters wanted the confrontation. With their skilful orchestration, the protesters at times looked more like a trained and experienced fighting machine than a group of kids wanting a place to hang out; or a disenfranchised revolutionary movement. This was underlined by the continuing stream of European anarchists heading for Copenhagen, eager and ready to fight.

The police's adoption of zero tolerance and an unprecedented 690 arrests, including the detention in custody of hundreds of minors - some in isolation - plus the police's apparent joy in beating up the unruly adolescents, may have won the day for the law and its enforcers, but it hardly leads the way towards a greater mutual understanding.

But why such aggression in such a peaceful society? That’s the question the Danes will have to ask themselves when the last fires have died out. The truth is that the ongoing violence is about far more than just a squatted house. It’s notable that a lot of the tension was situated around Christiania - the old hippy commune that has become a major tourist attraction, a cultural hub, and a thorn in the flesh of the Danish political establishment.

The current centre-right government remains a staunch enemy of the social experiment, and protagonists on both parts see the current eviction as phase one in ridding Copenhagen of Christiania. 36 years after it came into existence, the free town still divides the nation. The alternative lifestyle, the cannabis smoking and the non-adaptation to the bourgeois lifestyle are red flags in the face of many ordinary citizens, who sympathise with the government's desire to normalise the free town (read: demolish it).

This tension has been ongoing for more than 30 years, and the current conflict will hardly ease the tensions. However, the fact remains that many Copenhaggers are fed up with having the shop windows in their neighbourhood smashed on a regular basis and the recurring clashes in the streets that frighten their children. Their tolerance has been stretched too far, they claim, and it’s now time to crack down on the antisocial behaviour.

But it also begs the question why such an affluent society has failed in offering its youths something meaningful to do.

It may be that sheer boredom and apathy are the conflict’s biggest triggers. The Danish political system has failed in communicating with its youth. The apparent lack of interest in looking after the drop-outs seems to be a European problem. From the disenfranchised North Africans of Paris to the youth gangs of London and the sub cultures of Copenhagen, there’s clearly a serious lack of communication and understanding between the generations - a responsibility that surely lies with the grownups.

Being young in Copenhagen should not, however, be compared to the tough conditions of life on the outskirts of Paris or in parts of east London. The biggest problem the squatters have to deal with is probably boredom. The protesters in Copenhagen may think they’re rebelling against the political right - against capitalism and intolerance - but their use of violence is helping the forces that want to crack down on subcultures, and eventually close down Christiania. For it’s very difficult to defend the havoc that’s being raised in Copenhagen right now.

And so, right now, in a curious attempt to eradicate the immediate past, Ungdomshuset is being demolished. As if that will make the problem go away.

BBC Survey:

Israel, Iran & U.S. Have Most Negative Image,

Canada & Japan Do Best

Israel, Iran and the United States are the countries with the most negative image in a globe-spanning survey of attitudes toward 12 major nations. Canada and Japan came out best in the poll, released Tuesday.

The survey for the BBC's World Service asked more than 28,000 people in 27 countries to rate 12 countries — Britain, Canada, China, France, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, North Korea, Russia, the United States and Venezuela — as having a positive or negative influence on the world.

Israel - viewed negatively by 56%, positively by 17%.

Iran - viewed negatively by 54%, positively by 18%.

USA - viewed negatively by 51% positively by 30%.

North Korea - viewed negatively by 48%, positively by 19%.

Canada had the most positive rating, followed by Japan and France.

Israel had the most negative rating, followed by Iran and the USA.

Respondents were also asked their views of the 25-member European Union; 53% saw it as positive and 19% as negative.

Britain, China and India were viewed more positively than negatively, while Russia had more negative than positive responses. Opinion on Venezuela was evenly split.

"It appears that people around the world tend to look negatively on countries whose profile is marked by the pursuit of military power," said Steven Kull, director of the University of Maryland's Program on International Policy Attitudes, which conducted the research along with pollster GlobeScan.

"Countries that relate to the world primarily through soft power, like France and Japan and the EU in general, tend to be viewed positively," he added.

Cheap Nano Solar Cells

University of Notre Dame researchers have demonstrated a way to significantly improve the efficiency of solar cells by adding single-walled carbon nanotubes to a film made of titanium-dioxide nanoparticles.

The method doubles the efficiency of converting ultraviolet light into electrons when compared with the performance of the nanoparticles alone. The solar cells could be used to make hydrogen for fuel cells directly from water or for producing electricity.

Europe To Unplug Common Light Bulbs

The world's three largest light bulb makers said they will push European consumers to switch to energy-saving compact fluorescent lamp bulbs in a bid to cut carbon dioxide emissions.

CFLs are 3 times as efficient as traditional bulbs and last much longer. They estimated that if all inefficient traditional incandescent bulbs sold in Europe were to be replaced with more efficient bulbs, the continent would need 27 fewer power plants.

Pot Could Protect against Alzheimer's

I’ve been saying for years that Alzheimer’s seems to be caused by not ‘exercising’ your brain enough with the natural allies that Mother Nature intended us to come across. Indeed I just saw on BBC that 1 in 4 older people suffer the disease and yet I do not personally know a single alternative type who has it! Now the proof is starting to come in.

Stoners who spent the 1960s and '70s in a haze could find themselves surprisingly lucid in old age: the marijuana they smoked helps protect against Alzheimer's disease, a new study found.

Anti-inflammatory compounds in pot deflect the memory loss associated with the illness and could ultimately slow its progression, said psychology Prof. Gary Wenk of Ohio State University.

Wenk gave old rats - who, like humans, tend to get lost as they age - a synthetic form of marijuana. The ones given the drug found their way through a maze more easily.

"That's not going to cure Alzheimer's disease, but it's going to help a lot because, by reducing inflammation, we're going to rescue some neurons - we're going to help you not decay so fast," said Wenk, who presented his findings yesterday at the Society for Neuroscience meeting in Atlanta.

But scientists still need to find a compound that reduces brain inflammation without triggering a high, said Wenk, whose research is funded by the federal government, which has long criminalised marijuana.

Democrats Send Out First Round of Subpoenas

A House judiciary subcommittee has approved the first in what is expected to be an avalanche of subpoenas to Bush administration officials. They will likely explore corruption and mismanagement allegations on everything from pre-war Iraq intelligence to the mishandling of the response to Hurricane Katrina. The first round of subpoenas concern the recent controversial firings by the Bush administration of seven US attorneys, some of whom were pursuing public corruption cases against Republican members of Congress.

Some Recent Thoughts About Tim Leary

Mind blowin'! I'm really enjoying reading all your wonderful comments about Our Leary! It's nice for a change to read Leary Appreciators!

Anyone who has had a chance to read the 20 book reviews that came out last year on the Tim bio by Leary Depreciator Supremo Greenfield can see those reviews represent the famous "Liberal Media Establishment's" (LME) profound hatred of you, me & US^! Hatred of the CounterCulture, Psychedelics, Leary, et. al. So far, I've only read one Right Wing Conservative review and that was even more obnoxious. This LME brought US the War on Communism, The Viet-Nam War, The War on Drugs, A Dope's War, The War on Iraq, and the forever War on Terror!

This is what Tim was UP^! against and what generated all the negative problems he had. Sure, someone might have died on Dope that particular weekend, but 100's died in Alcohol car wrecks too. Another 200 were killed in Viet-Nam just that weekend in 1968. BlackShit leaves this out of the Context when ripping Tim a new one in his bio.

I keep Expanding the Context and find that Timothy Leary is one of the most important and amazing Humans to have ever lived! One has to start reading or studying from the beginning in August, 1960, when TL first Dropped! High Priest has a trip report. Follow the story up to Sept., 1966, that month when the fantastic Playboy Interview came out and LSD was made illegal, Sept. '66. This 6 year period is when TL is accused by all the Leary complainers and haters as being when he must have said, written, or done something that CAUSED PSYCHEDELICS TO BE BANNED, and research to be ended. So produce some evidence! Cite the Talk, Lecture, Article, Interview or Book that needs to be pulled or edited! Which one!?

How about starting with one of the early Texts! Ram Dass Richard Alpert & Timothy Leary wrote an amazing preface to Alan Watts' The Joyous Cosmology, his ode to LSD. Check it out for yourself here.

"Alan Watts spells out in eloquent detail his drug-induced visionary moments. He is, of course, attempting the impossible to describe in words (which always lie) that which is beyond words. But how well he can do it!

Since this was done around 1961-1962 it shows what Tim was thinking then. The Symbolic Mind is emerging as that which is temporally suspended during this kind of tripping for high verbal minds. Getting Off, Breaking On Thru To The Other Side!, these seem to be a requirement for having a high-dose psychedelic experience. This becomes part of the Theory of Tripping where the newest evolutionary feature of biology is human thinking in words and language – less than 40,000 years old! Hence this level is the first to go as we Wake Up to the living biology operating under this cultural process. Tim did not see this as generic biology until he wrote Psychedelic Prayers, based on the Tao Te Ching.

The preface to this little trippin' gem is the first outline of what will become Tim’s 8 calibre Brain Theory. And the structure of the book is set to cruise up and down the biological levels available - Symbolic Mind, Sensory-Motor Processes, Cellular Wisdom, DNA Genetic Super brains, Atomic mineral atoms; today known as the real ET's from Outer Space- the 92 atoms forged in Super Nova! I think TL only added sub-atomic nuclear and quantum effects in the mid 1970's with Exo-Psychology...

What happened here, in my mind, is that Tim, Tripping Theories, and Psychedelics finally ended the 6000 years of psychotic monomaniacal monotheistic Politics & Religion, for not even the American Revolution, Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights had managed to end this Nightmare.

Tim and helpers realised that the New Religion is not about the content, it’s the process of being alive and generating one's own unique Content. The L.S.D, the League for Spiritual Discovery!, started 41 years ago! You are generating your own Content thru your unique Set & Setting. Old Religion as obsolete Science. And Science is the new updated Religion...

I myself found first hand how much of a bullshit artist Dylan Avery is. In his "Loose Change" documentary he quotes Dr. Van Romero, a materials engineer at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, who supposedly claimed that only explosive devices could have brought the World Trade Centre down. Dr. Romero isn't particularly hard to find, so I contacted him (vromero@nmt.edu) and asked for a clarification. It turns out he's hopping mad about being misquoted. Here’s his reply to me:

“I never stated that the "World Trade Centre could only have been caused by explosive devices". What I did say was that the collapse looked like a building that had been demolished using explosive charges. I also stated that I was certain that a thorough investigation would be conducted to determine the cause.

Numerous investigations have been conducted and they all conclude that the building was designed to fail the way it did to protect the surrounding buildings and the fire was the source of the failure.”

What does it say about a documentary's credibility when even one of its own sources says it's wrong?

5 leading European research institutions have launched a petition that calls on the European Commission to establish a new policy that would require all government-funded research to be made available to the public shortly after publication, via the Internet.

University researchers typically have published their findings in expensive, peer-reviewed publications, which were purchased by those same publicly-funded universities.

While the model certainly proved lucrative for large publishers, it resulted in the public paying twice for research that it was frequently unable to access.

I have very little knowledge on the group the Taliban. Other than what we see on the news, and the left leaning news. An acquaintance of mine from Morocco considers them a very good group, especially when it comes to their ideas concerning women. Could someone please enlighten me on what exactly the Taliban stand for? What thoughts and ideas and actions are a part of the Taliban? I would appreciate someone with much more inside knowledge than me help shed some light on this topic. And if you have differing beliefs from my acquaintance, I would very much appreciate a thought as to why you feel this acquaintance would think as he does.

In 2006, Glastonbury came to the cinema in a Julien Temple film which invited audiences to submerge themselves in the spirit, characters and overwhelming sensory experiences of Glastonbury.

Here is my first response to the UP! Yay.

Does the sun rise in the morning? Does it then set again at night? The earth goes round and round, the Sun goes round, the entire galaxy moves in circles. Everything has it's cycles. Even politics, war, love and peace. Things are born, then they die. It applies to the very stars themselves as much as it does to us. (And the stars are born again only to die again, which I believe applies to us too.) Why should the universe itself be any different ?

As far as I am concerned, the universe follows a pretty simple set of underlying rules. Everywhere I look I see the same patterns. Maybe the current big bang theories don't get the science right, but I think they are basing the idea on a pretty solid assumption.

Belief in One Universe forever and ever amen strikes me as the ultimate monotheism.

See you at the black hole at the end of time.

Suppose we'll have to wait and see! Not an easy question to answer. The universe I made up inside my head will end with me though. As above, so below ?

Hi Fraser, I have to tell you that the Big Bang theory is basic to Hindu thinking. The error is in the west. Here it is assumed that Big Bang means “creation of” but that could not be further from the truth. Consciousness always has been, you are unborn except in the animal sense of growth in the mother’s body. Big Bangs are continuous acts of nature constantly reshaping the permanent energy.

i cannot IMAGINE/CONCEIVE of an endless physical world. but i can EASILY imagine an endless world of consciousness. i mean, while physical dimension is by its own definition FINITE, i can imagine that consciousness will/can naturally and effortlessly expand to contain any amount of physical dimension.
